Returning to Exercise After Recovering from COVID-19: What to Know

Many women are afraid to exercise while pregnant. And after an abortion? How long should you wait after abortion before you return to a workout routine? Just as it is safe to exercise during your pregnancy (in most cases), it is also safe to exercise after an abortion. Your doctor's recommendation will probably follow your training routine before pregnancy or a lighter and more modified version. In other words, if you were not a marathon before your pregnancy, it makes no sense to run tens of miles for or immediately after your pregnancy. Your body after a miscarriage After one, your body will return to normal pretty quickly. There's no reason why you can't go back to the gym or do your normal exercises unless your doctor advised you against it. Having said this, if you had a late or long-term pregnancy loss, your doctor may advise to wait a few weeks. This is because your body needs more time to recover after a longer pregnancy. If your doctor wants you to wait, you can try care and breathing exercises to help relieve any anxiety you may feel. Back to the gym As you would during any other training, listen to your body when you get back to the swing of the exercise. While it might be tempting to push yourself, let your body do what comes naturally. Start smooth and work there. Its objective should be to perform moderately intense exercises at least 150 minutes a week. These exercise routines can be divided into segments (e.g., five 30-minute sessions per week). Examples of moderate-intensity exercises include risk hikes, flat-ground bikes, golf or ballroom dancing. In addition, at least two days a week, you must participate in activities that strengthen your muscles such as lifting weights or yoga. Of course, if you're out of breath or you can't talk while exercising, slow down. If you feel weak or sick, give yourself water and a rest. If you feel pain, stop. If you notice any symptoms that concern you during your exercise, call your doctor to discuss them. Consider starting with low impact exercises If you want to start exercising, but you're afraid to press too much, you can try to start with some low-impact exercises. Here are some low-impact exercises you can try: If you're still worried about your exercise ability, bring a friend or hire a coach to accompany you and supervise while you work.
